  • OIP-36 - Purchase BCT in the OTC market before Klima Launch.

Summary

Klima is launching Oct 18. We hold 70MM pKLIMA that vest at 3.5%. To vest we will need BCT. The current BCT price for post 2008 credits is $4.35 per ton if we buy up to 50k tons and $3.95 if we go up to 100k. (Broker will accept OHM) Klima will launch with 256,000 circulating supply, making our first vest 8,960. Expectation is that BCT market when placed on chain will make BCT more expensive. Keeping a small stock of BCT will make vesting premiums more profitable.

    Acquiring the BCT needed to fully vest the our pKLIMA for at least the first 6 months is a smart move.

    Is the initial intent to just exercise and hold the KLIMA in the treasury or are we looking to stake any redeemed balance as it's converted?

    Initial goal is to redeem and stake. But will be evaluated by treasury team on an ongoing basis.

    Great to see this, if we're not onboarding credits through toucan acquiring a portion of thr initial supply otc will be key before bonding mechanics with klima drive bct price action

    got a link where i can buy klima valid BCT as well . 5 usd per BCT sounds like a super discount i shouldnt miss

    Makes perfect sense if we hold klima and want diversification.
