Suggested ways to go from fiat cash to (g)ohm

Hey, please free feel to close if this is a duplicate of another thread. I search discord and forum here but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Question: How would you folks convert cash to (g)ohm.

My naive approach: Buy on coinbase (fee), transferring to metamask/wallet (gas fee), zapping to sOhm (gas fee), converting to gohm to stake (gas fee).

lehoho This is what I did - I bought DAI on Coinbase and transferred that. Then swapped it for OHM and staked it. The fees suck and don't seem to be based on the amount you convert.

One suggestion is to buy Avax on coinbase, send it to your address on avalanche and swap it for gOhm via sushi/uniswap/traderjoe.

Nice trippingbilly, I tried the Dai -> ohm -> gohm using gemini and coinbase recently too. It came out to around 150$ in fees for me.

Alternatively, buying AVAX and then swapping for gOhm on TradeJoe was ~$1.5 in fees. Quite a meaningful difference.

I'm trying to go through the AVAX --> gOhm on TraderJoe, but the transaction get stucked. Any idea on why it's happening?
