2024 Marketing and Communication Budget Proposal for DAO
Summary
In addition to the core budget expenses outlined in OIP-155, the DAO presents a framework for a marketing and communication budget.
Motivation
Over the last 6 months, the DAO has been committed to the implementation of several initiatives such as Cooler Loans, OCA, RBS Upgrades, Cross-chain Bridge Support, OCG, and work towards decentralized front-ends, moving closer to protocol automation. These initiatives included significant communication efforts with ecosystem partners and educational marketing to raise awareness and guide the general public.
While focusing on autonomous operation, upcoming developments necessitate continued stakeholder communication, marketing, and co-marketing to boost adoption and confidence.
Key Developments:
- Decentralized Front Ends
- RBS Tuning
- On Chain Governance Phases
- Ongoing Treasury Composition changes (e.g., Blueberry, possible GM tokens)
- Liquidity rail developments and integrations
- Peapods and other volatility farming ecosystems (pOHM)
- Possible POL deployment on L2s (e.g., Arbitrum)
- Broad deployments on Berachain
This budget for 2024 is estimated using the best available information and expects the budget impact on liquid backing to be between 0.004 and 0.005.
Proposal
The proposed budget will support development through the end of January 2025. Unused funds will be returned to the DAO wallet.
