MetaMask wallet hacked and they installed all my ohm and stole everything

After getting involved with this meta wallet or any digital wallet makes me concerned about investing money this way.

So far I have not had an issue however I am seeing more and more posts here and other places that this is not a very good way to handle money.

Please get a hardware wallet… Even if you have only a tiny bit of funds in crypto it's worth the $50 investment to get one.

Good advice.

I have one on back order, Nano legder so unfortunately I have to wait a bit. In hindsight as I am still learning about crypto and digital wallets, I would have ordered a hardware wallet 1st.

Yes I ordered a ledger nano x so I hope this thievery is over. I also this Olympus DAO needs to up their game as far a multiple identity authentication and verification. I’ll put a little money back in but if it happens again I’ll know it’s not the wallet and that Olympus dao has something wrong on the inside as far as someone stealing wallet addresses.

Keith9025 We have an anti-spam bot and verification system. This is a Discord problem of allowing spam/scam accounts to create multiple accounts without any limitations.

Do we know what happened to you? What level of savy are you? How long have you had this metamask wallet? Did you ever click anything from discord, direct messages, or websites for airdrops, contests, etc? Do you participate in the discord?
What browser is your metamask attached to? Is it up to date?
I'm trying to understand this. I want to get into some Olympus, but can't be losing substantial balances in defi and wallet hacks. Centralized exchanges have been good to me so far.
