BobbySchmurda Again, you're overthinking this

The ENTIRE reason MOST people invested into this project is because their holding would grow daily and you could easily see the increase.

NOW with V2, that model is GONE.

So why does the everyman invest?

Without new investors, the project dies.

So while V2 might be super great for hardcore Crypto bond holders who get their rocks off having a governance vote to feel empowered, what made this project unique from the start is now gone.

Telling the common man "yes your holdings stay the same BUT the index increases so if the price goes up you'll have more assets" is a lot different than "every friggin day you'll have more of the asset!"

Get it?

Corelli100 You are MAKING MORE sOHM… UN-WRAP. THE. GOHM!…. You can see your sOHM HAS gone up and gotten larger…. again you just basically keep breaking down that you cant figure out how a gOHM is priced! A gohm IS a bunch of sOHM just wrapped! The index will keep adding to that sOHM! AGAIN… 5TH TIME NOW…. You can UNWRAP your gOHM anytime and you will see you DO have more sOHM inside the wrap after every rebase….. And tbh i dunno why youre complaining because you can just migrate to V2 and keep sOHM v2 and keep seeing your sOHM instead if thats what you feel comfortable with. But no matter how much explaining is needed it is the EXACT same except you will forever pay high ethereum fees while the rest of us pay pennies. No more explanations needed.

I completely understand you. You like "New Coke". You think everyone should automatically agree that "New Coke" is far superior to "Original Coke" and you're frustrated that I don't understand why "New Coke" is so superior.

      Do you understand my point?

      BobbySchmurda

also, I don't believe you have a choice now. Everything is gOHM on their documentation. There is no indication you can choose a V2 sOHM

"Will my gOHM still earn rebase rewards?

Yes. Although gOHM does not change in quantity upon rebase like sOHM does, it still earns you rebase rewards. This is because the price of gOHM is tied to the Current Index:

      $gOHMprice=OHMprice∗CurrentIndexgOHM{price} = OHM{price} * CurrentIndex$gOHMprice=OHMprice∗CurrentIndex

Every rebase event will cause the Current Index to go up, and your gOHM is worth more as a result (provided that OHM's price stays constant)."

yea except right on the main stake page where it shows your holdings and says sOHM V2 right on it…. or you can wrap to gOHM and then unwrap and itll be V2 sOHM…. Like i said, youre just not wrapping your head around this. Its ok to be confused but so combative for someone who just simply doesnt understand a concept

        BobbySchmurda

I think @Corelli100 and many others DO understand the underlying concept.

The issue I am having is exactly what he had pointed out: I have clients invested in OHM and the fact that they cannot SEE!!!!!! the increase of their coins any more has them leaving the project. It's too nerdy and time consuming to calculate the buys/sells against the index. PLUS the OHM that we have collateralized in RARI that just sits there and you cannot caclculate your future liquidation points/prices anymore etc…

All that OLYMPUS would need to do is put up a friggin calculated OHM increase for gOHM that mimmicks the old rebase increase and everyone would be happy (despite having to pay substantial amounts in gas for a transition, which, they should do as TOKEMAK did, waive or set the fee to be compensated for).

Please let's find a solution for this as it really isn't great at the moment.

Hello I had gohm staked and bought more OHM from gate.io. It showed up into my metamask as gohm. I cannot figure out how to stake it. I have spent 3 gas fees trying different things on the site. I bridged the gohm from ETH to AVAX and when that happened the amount of staked coins are gone. Please help what is going on? Where are my staked coins and how do I stake the new coins now that they are on AVAX?

Marcus gOHM is wsOHM (wrapped staked OHM) you do NOT need to stake it. The amount of gOHM stays the same but it's value increases by the rise of the INDEX on the ohm page and market price.

            Vanadio

Yes, please. Anybody from the team able to elaborate on this? Guys, we are talking real money and potential liquidations here. Please advise!

BobbySchmurda seriously Bobby the way you talk down to me is uncalled for

I CAN FRIGGIN WRAP MY HEAD AROUND THIS, YOU ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING WHAT I AM TELLING YOU

So I'll ask again. Explain to any NOVICE investor, how do they SEE their increasing value if it's not strictly based on price x holdings. WHERE in the V2 is the easy calculation showing how the index actually is increasing holdings for everyone?

I WAS able to see that I had 3 sOHM yesterday and now I have 3.01 sOHM today. However after migration it's just 3.01 gOHM, and there doesn't seem to be any clear way to show NOVICE investors why the F they should invest in this project.

So maybe your "New Coke" is super duper awesome, but quite frankly I loved the Original and so do most investors who don't want to use calculus to understand if they should invest in OHM or MAYBE go to TIME instead where they DO see increasing holdings EVERY EPOCH.

Now do you understand, or so you want to continue to basically tell me how stupid I am?

poolsidestudios I don't think the team cares. Bond holders voted overwhelmingly for this change. It may be better, but you can't sell this easily now. I had a group of 10 friends I was having a FB live event for tomorrow to explain how to invest in this specific project. Can't recommend it anymore because it's no longer a project for inexperienced crypto investors. They've essentially ruined the magic

I see the questions and fears I had initially haven’t been answered and I knew this will be going to happen. I repayed and removed collateral as soon as possible then migrated but for people still on rari it’s a complete mess. You can’t migrate because you can’t withdraw sOHM v1 unless you repay. So what I understood is that for now you’ll see sOHM v1 not rebasing but it’s value raise accordingly to rebase and market price (so same liquidation price you had if rebase was showed to you). Today or tomorrow rari itself will migrate the old sOHM to v2 and will also add a gOHM option (or will migrate old sOHM to wrapped gOHM). I don’t know with certainty because nobody has spoken officially. That’s why I’m now out from rari.

Ok, pool18 (ohm pool) got gOHM but tetranode (pool6) haven’t yet.

itsok but ya dont hafta do that… if you go to the olympus dao twitter page AND the rari twitter page. They BOTH say RARI is handling the migration and people locked in RARI dont have to do anything but give them a few days to migrate….

"Our V2 Migration has officially begun. Bonds, and our new front end, will be live shortly. You may migrate your V1 tokens into their V2 counterparts if you wish. Our partners at Rari will be migrating assets in Fuse pool for you in the coming days"

poolsidestudios you wouldnt do ANY of that. Youd just buy/sell gOHM. IT IS STAKED. You dont buy the ohm any longer if ya plan to hold. They can clearly see what gOHM is worth as its priced with its own price. And you can buy it on many different chains instead of ethereum saving your clients hundreds of dollars each in transaction fees.
